Opening month: 0% seller fees — sell anything in October and pay no seller fee at all. Normally 12%. No code, nothing to apply for.
List a box →WaxDepot is a peer-to-peer marketplace for sealed sports-card and TCG boxes and cases. Every product has its own live order book — the highest bid and the lowest ask, side by side, the way a stock trades. Not a listing feed with a “make offer” button bolted on.
One book per product, not per listing. You are always looking at the whole market for that exact box.
Every SKU shows the highest bid and the lowest ask with the depth behind each. You can see what people will actually pay before you list, and what it will actually cost before you buy.
Placing a bid needs a saved card and a default address, and the card is charged the moment a seller accepts. That is what makes the highest bid a number you can sell into rather than a wish.
What the box actually traded at, with the chart. Market data — what happened and what is offered — never a forecast.
A sealed case is its own product with its own book, and the catalogue knows how many boxes are in one. Hobby, retail, ETB, bundle and case do not get collapsed into one blurry listing.
Buyers pay the ask. Sellers pay one commission that falls as they trade — and nothing else.
You pay the ask. No buyer premium, and no separate processing line — the card cost is absorbed on our side rather than passed to you.
Everyone starts at 12% and works down. The ladder is below, and it is the same ladder for a one-box seller and a shop.
| Tier | Fee | Qualifies at (30 days) | Payout |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 12% | Where everyone begins | Weekly, Friday |
| Pro | 10% | 30 sales or $5,000 | Weekly, Friday |
| Elite | 8% | 150 sales or $10,000 | Weekly, Friday |
| Apex | 6% | 1,000 sales or $100,000 | Daily |
Thresholds are or, not and — the retail-volume seller and the high-ticket dealer get there the same day. Tiers recompute nightly, so crossing a threshold today shows up tomorrow. Everyone below Apex is on the weekly Friday payout.
Your tier rate covers each box's price up to $7,500. The part above it is charged 2%, whatever your tier — so a $10,000 case pays $950 on Starter and $500 on Apex, before shipping. That keeps the fee lower than eBay's trading-card fee at every price, on every tier.
Compare your payout with eBay →Approved buyers earn account credit on anything they pay for by bank — 3% on the Dealer Program. It is account credit, not cash back, and it lands once the box has been delivered.
Shops, breakers and anyone moving volume apply for the 8% tier for their first 60 days plus the 3% bank credit. Both are granted on approval — a person reads the application.
The seller does not get paid until the box has arrived — and on a big order, both sides get to show their work.
“That isn't what was in the box” is the claim a seller has never been able to answer. On a big order, you can.
A photo of the sealed box with the shipping label on it, taken before it ships. Required on every order of this size, so the evidence exists before anyone needs it.
Optional: one take of the sealed product next to the label. Stored privately — only you, the buyer and us can open it, because the label has an address on it.
A buyer who says the box held something else has to show their own unboxing video to file. Yours is the other half of that story.
The buyer's card is charged when the order is placed. A bank payment has to clear first, and you're told not to ship until it does. You never ship on an IOU.
A bid needs a saved card and an address, and the card is charged the moment you accept — not after three messages asking whether they still want it.
Paid when the buyer confirms, or automatically 2 days after the carrier marks it delivered. A buyer can't hold your payout by never clicking a button.
If a buyer disputes the charge with their bank, the defence is built from your tracking, your packing photo and — if they confirmed receipt — the record of that click.
When a buyer opens a dispute you hear about it straight away, you have 48 hours to respond, and you can attach your own photos.
The delivery clock runs off what the carrier says, not what anyone claims. On orders of $750 and up, a signature is what answers "it never arrived" — ship with it and the order is seller protected; ship without it and that order isn't. You choose when you mark it shipped.
The seller does not get paid until the box has arrived.
We charge at checkout and hold it. The seller's cut transfers when you confirm the box arrived sealed, or automatically 2 days after the carrier marks it delivered.
You confirm the box arrived sealed. We are not a grading service and we do not authenticate — what we do is hold the money until you have it in your hands.
Open a dispute and attach photos and links. A person reads it, and the payment is still held while they do.
On orders of $500 and up, film the label, the opening and the contents. It's what supports a claim about what was inside. A box that never arrived needs no video — tracking covers that.
Follow a box and hear about it when the ask moves, rather than refreshing a search.
Save a search and get told when something new matches it.
Every seller gets a page with their inventory, their feedback and their history. Follow the ones who carry what you buy.
What sold, what the fee was, what transferred and when. The fee is snapshotted at the sale, so it cannot move under a deal you already made.
Price and quantity editable inline, and bulk discounts by quantity. Built for someone listing forty things, not four.
If something you trade is not in the catalogue, request it and we add it. The catalogue covers NBA, MLB, NFL, Soccer, F1, Pokémon, Star Wars and Disney.
We are new. Everything on this page is built and works — the order book, the money, the protection, the catalogue across every category. What we do not have yet is a deep book on every product, and you would notice that in about nine seconds, so we would rather say it than have you find it. That is the honest state of an order book on day one: it is only as good as the people on both sides of it, which is why we are opening to sellers first.
