Selling

Go to Sell, search for the product (or pick from the catalog), set your asking price, choose shipping, and publish. You'll see live feedback like "you'll be the new lowest ask" or "this meets a buyer's bid — instant sale."

Money moves in two hops, and it's worth knowing both. Released to you when the buyer confirms delivery, or automatically 2 days after the carrier marks the package delivered. That sends the sale proceeds — minus your seller fee — to your Stripe account. Paid to your bank weekly, on Friday, for every tier during beta. Apex sellers are paid daily. The ACH itself lands 1–3 business days later, and Stripe holds a brand-new account's first payout longer than usual, so your very first sale is the slowest one you'll have. The gap between the two hops isn't us sitting on your money: while it's in your Stripe balance a chargeback can be reversed cleanly, and once it's in your bank a reversal can leave you owing on a sale you thought was settled.

You have 2 business days to ship from when the order is paid. Late shipments hurt your seller score and can lead to cancellation. Mark your listing as shipped and add tracking from the listing detail page once you've dropped it off.

The green verified badge is earned, not bought. Two paths: (1) transaction history — 5+ completed orders AND a 4.5★+ average across 3+ reviews, recomputed nightly; or (2) inventory photo — upload a photo of your actual sealed inventory from Account → Settings, and once an admin approves it the badge is yours regardless of sales count. The photo path exists so established collectors new to WaxDepot don't have to grind out sales to prove they're real. Badges are revocable — resealed-product violations or a rating collapse below the bar removes it at the nightly recompute.

October 2026: no seller fee on any sale placed in October, on every tier and at every price (the rate is fixed on the order when it's placed). Otherwise it's a seller-only fee, charged on the item price plus shipping — no buyer fees, no separate payment processing (we absorb it). On every tier, the part of any single box's price above $7,500 is charged just 2%, which keeps the fee under eBay's trading-card fee at every price (compare at /fees). Four tiers, OR-logic on rolling sales|GMV plus a positive-feedback floor: Starter 12% (default), Pro 10% (30+ sales OR $5K GMV, 99%+ positive), Elite 8% (150+ sales OR $10K GMV, 99.5%+ positive), Apex 6% (1000+ sales OR $100K GMV, 99.5%+ positive). The tier changes your fee, not your payout speed: payouts are weekly (Friday) for everyone during beta, with Apex paid daily. No listing fees, no monthly fees.
